K2 Orton Men's Snowboard Boots 2026
Sage Kotsenburg Miiiiight Be A Genius...
It started with an idea. Our snowboard boot scientists approached K2 Snowboarding Team Rider Sage Kotsenburg with a new concept on snowboard boot construction - and the switch flipped, it was on. A first-of-it’s-kind construction comes from a one-piece rubber lower with integrated mesh. To boil it down, this means that the Orton will not only be waterproof, but also warm and dry, all day long. The one-piece-rubber lower is married with a dual-zone BOA lacing system, making this a versatile boot, fitting feet of all shapes and sizes.
In the development of this boot, Sage spent over 100 days in this product, getting it 100% right. Atop of that, the Orton was tested by our staff, our team of athletes, backcountry guides, and our film crew. Thousands and thousands of hours went into setting a new standard with the Orton. Sage knows that the devil is in the details…and he’s detailed. For the best performance in the bootpack, we chose our V5 Vibram® rubber outside. For ultimate damping and vibration absorption, we chose our Harshmallow injected midsole and Harshmallow Pro insole. For the best possible fit, we chose our performance liner-lasting and a heat moldable tri-density Intuition liner. To top it all off, a rip-stop asym lace-cover with a gaiter hook keeps all the snow out.
BEST FOR:
FLEX:
H4/M3 ZONAL BOA FIT SYSTEM:
Impact-resistant, durable, and performance-driven, the H4 BOA Dial ejects on severe impact and is easily re-inserted into the boot. The H4 dial controls the upper shell lacing, while the M3 dial controls the lower shell lacing.
TX3 BOA ROPE LACING:
A softer lace made specifically for snowboard boots that provides a more even fit over the body of the boot shell versus a steel lace.
3-POINT HARNESS LINER LACING:
The 3-Point Harness is a straightforward solution that doesn’t skimp on support. Instead, this system aims to optimize heel hold while providing ankle support and unrivaled stability to help reduce fatigue. A taller Pro Version is found on Orton and Format models for additional support.
VIBRAM V5 RUBBER OUTSOLE:
Our most premium rubber compound provides industry leading durability and grip and integrated with Harshmellow foam to absorb chatter and vibration.
INTUITION SPACEHEATER LINER:
A liner designed for comfort and warmth, from start to finish. It features reflective heat blanket panels that work to trap heat in and keep cold out. These reflective heat blankets work alongside heat moldable Intuition foam, internal J-Bars, and 3D molded, dual- density EVA insoles to keep your foot comfortable and warm all day long.
REINFORCED RUBBER UPPER CUFF:
Reinforcing high-impact zones of the snowboard boot with rubber makes the boot more durable and abrasion-resistant.
ENDO 2.0 CONSTRUCTION:
A K2 Snowboarding exclusive, Endo Construction, allows us to alter a snowboard boot's flex, response, and rebound without adding extra materials (extra materials = excess weight). By replacing additional materials with an injected heel counter, adding an extra rebound is as easy as a formula change. In addition, it helps us to provide a more consistent flexing, longer-lasting snowboard boot.
HARSHMELLOW VIBRATION DAMPING:
Harshmellow is a magical dampening system that replaces industry-standard foam dampening materials. Harshmellow is strategically placed to dampen vibration underfoot to provide a more “quiet” feel underfoot, reduce vibration from impact, and reduce fatigue while snowboarding.
3D FORMED DUAL DENSITY EVA FOOTBED:
Dual-density EVA foam provides contouring cushioning and support to support snowboarding all day long.
The K2 Orton Snowboard Boots are designed to be versatile and perform well across various terrains. They have a flex rating of 8, which means they are stiff and responsive, making them suitable for aggressive riding and providing good support for both freestyle and all-mountain conditions.
These boots are great for:
- Park laps: Their forgiving nature allows for easier maneuverability and tricks.
- All-mountain riding: They can handle different types of terrain, from groomed runs to powder.
- Backcountry: With their durable construction and comfort features, they can also be used for backcountry adventures.
Overall, the K2 Orton Snowboard Boots are a solid choice for riders looking to tackle a variety of terrains throughout the season.
