Bike Rental

TCB Ski, Board and Bike is the premium mountain bike rental shop located in central Ohakune. 

We have a simple recipe: we have the latest bikes and all bikes are cleaned, tuned and checked after every hire so you can have the best ride on our fantastic local trails!

The TCB mountain bike hire fleet has a range of mountains bikes from Merida and Marin, with Electric Full Suspension mountain bikes, Full Suspension mountains bikes, Front Suspension mountain bikes, BMX bikes, children's mountain bikes and child attachments - shot gun seats, clip on bikes, bike trailers and child seats. A bike helmet is included with all bike hires, and repairs kits provided too.

TRANSPORT // SHUTTLES RUN 7 DAYS A WEEK

FROM TCB TO HOROPITO - Ride the OCR from Horopito back to Ohakune.

Shuttle costs $20.00 per person

Summer Departure times from (from 1st November- 1st May) - 10:00am, 12:00pm, 2:00pm 

Winter Departure times (from 1st May to 1st November) - 10:00am, 12:00pm

FROM TCB TO POKAKA ROAD - Ride Phase 1 of TE HANGARURU to Horopito and connect onto OCR to ride the OCR back to Ohakune.

Shuttle costs $30.00 per person

Summer Departure times from (from 1st November- 1st May) - 10:00am, 12:00pm 

Winter Departure times (from 1st May to 1st November) - 10:00am, 12:00pm

FROM TCB to the top of OHAKUNE MOUNTAIN ROAD: 1000M VERTICAL and option to connect onto Phase 1 of Te Ara Mangawhero trail.

Shuttle costs $30.00 per person

SUMMER ONLY (from 1st November - 1st May) - 11:00am, 1:00pm

 

GROUP RATES AND PACKAGES

We have over 200 bikes available to hire and are offer packages for groups that include mountain bike hire and bike shuttles. We have the bikes, shuttles and staff to manage up to 100 people per trip.

For groups larger than 20 we do a special rate of $40 per person which includes a FRONT Suspension Mountain Bike + bike helmet and transport to Horopito to ride the Ohakune Old Coach Road. For groups larger than 20 we also provide TCB bike mechanic, trail support pick ups and tail end charlie to help ensure your trip runs smooth and trouble free.

TCB MOUNTAIN BIKE HIRE CANCELLATION & TRANSFER POLICY

  1. If you provide 7+ days notice to us then it's no trouble at all to organise a refund or transfer the ride date.
  2. If it is less 3-6 days notice then we offer the ability to transfer the ride date.
  3. If it is 2 days or less then its non refundable or transferable.
