A Modern Classic -Take on an All-Gendered Freestyle Snowboard

The Medium, completely redesigned for modern freestyle snowboarding. K2 Snowboarding Pro Rider Jake Kuzyk is dedicated to the classics...a classic, round, twin, tip and tail, a classic (mostly) camber profile, and a predictable flex pattern. We took all these elements into account when heading into the workshop and designing the K2 Medium.

Working with Jake Kuzyk, we focused on creating a tool with an all-inclusive sizing, flex pattern, and design aesthetic.

A deep sidecut between the feet and a smooth blend zone in the tip and tail make the medium feel more stable than in years past (wider waist width, yes!), but still nimble for those low-speed maneuvers in the streets.

We worked alongside Jake to engineer our new Carbon Backbone, a pre-cambered carbon stringer that runs form tip to tail, giving Jake all of the snap that he needs without the extra stiffness that he doesn’t.

the 2025 Medium blends a little bit of tough energy and softer hints to make a piece of art for you to enjoy beneath your feet.

Our Sintered 4000 base absorbs wax deep into the material for relentless glide and unrivaled durability.

BAP Core:

A tri-blend wood core harnesses the rebound, strength, and feel of sustainably harvested Bamboo, Aspen, and Paulownia timber species.

Triax Glass:

A fiberglass weave intersecting at three angles provides extra torsional stiffness and overall strength.

Carbon Dark web:

Carbon stringers extend at 45º angles from the inserts in an “X” pattern, adding responsiveness and stability at all speeds.

Carbon Backbone:

A pre-cambered carbon inlay centered between the inserts specifically designed to add snap and pop to every ollie and takeoff.

Hybridtech Construction:

Backed by years of rigorous testing, Hybritech is the lightest weight, most durable snowboard construction on the market. Removing all excess sidewall material in the tip and tail and adding a 3D capped edge to increase the bond strength of the fiberglass and decrease the swing weight of the board is what makes Hybritech so revolutionary. Our boards will spin faster, maneuver easier, and last longer than any other boards on the market.
